In 1986, a man named Bev Robertson had a vision, a vision to take his beer commercial. Near the end of 1986, he convinced the government to pass legislation to make Saskatchewan one of the first Canadian provinces to allow brewpubs. In 1990, the Bushwakker Company recieved its license and opened its doors a year later.
The Bushwakker Brewpub was constructed on the first floor of the Strathdee Building, a classic warehouse to what is now known as Regina's Old Warehouse District, containing many restaurants, nightclubs, bars and pool halls.
