In 1891, this building was built to be the residence of the Queen’s representative. After that it was lavish home of Saskatchewan’s lieutenant governors until 1945. Today visitors are able to visit the museum and tour through 14 rooms decorated with period furnishings and mementos of past residents plus take part in a variety of program offerings. Summer hours: May 24 to September 6, 2010, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, seven days a week. Winter hours: September 7, 2010 – May 22, 2011, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm – Tuesday to Sunday closed on Mondays.
Costumed hosts will be able to answer any questions you may have about the residence. There are almost 10,000 artifacts here! The property sets on 8.5 acres of newly rehabilitated landscaped grounds, including a beautiful rose garden and an herb garden.
